Every device that connects to other devices to the internet is assigned an unique IP address. For systems to locate each other on distributed networks, like the internet, each node on the network is assigned a unique address.
This address is commonly known as ‘IP address’ or ‘IP.’ The IP address is a 32-bit binary address which consists of two sub-addresses that identify the network and the host of the network. The IP address consists of 4 sets of numbers ranging from 0 to 255 separated by a (.) in decimal form. For example, 126.96.36.199 is a valid IP address.
